– So I did a little research on some of the best remedies for children “back-talking” and how parents can deal with this and help make the behavior better. And, I wrote a little poem. Enjoy!

Back Talk 101

Be Kind…it helps you step back to that right state of mind.

Act fast…the sooner it’s handled, the sooner it’s passed.

Collect facts… find what is true without an attack.

Keep cool…you’re in danger of anger when children break rules.

Time out…because every child needs a moment to pout.

Ask for respect…this is the root of how they’ll correct.

Look where it starts…learning the source means solving the parts.

Keep consistent…for constant practice brings less resistance.
